Frank Iero stopped by for a chat backstage at 2000 Trees Festival where we talked through his recent album 'Barriers' with his band The Future Violents, why he chose to include a reference to My Chemical Romance classic 'I'm Not Okay (I Promise)' in his single 'Young & Doomed' and how he got permission from the rest of the band to do it. Plus, he tells the story behind writing 'BFF' with his children, how he ended up working with Ray Toro again on a recent project and what it was like performing at the 25th anniversary of Warped Tour in Atlantic City.
