Youth Man – ‘Wax’

Youth Man – ‘Wax’ Cover

Up the punx.

Raw, full of spite and not pulling any punches, Youth Man introduce themselves properly on the scrappy ‘Wax’ EP.

Be it the unforgiving up-the-punx attitude of ‘Fat Dead Elvis’ or scathing ‘Sweet Apples’, frontwoman Kaila Whyte is a raging beacon who clearly gives zero fucks about what anyone else thinks.

A firmer focus on bringing through the songs hiding in the noise, hinted at in the dexterity of closer ‘Painted Blue’, is something that the band will benefit from in the future, but as a unit full of intrigue and punk rock bile there’s definitely some exciting things going on here.
