Tyler Carter - Leave Your Love Cover

Issues' Tyler Carter is stepping out on his own with this solo EP. But is it any good?

Having somehow found time away from melding genres the length and breadth of the world with his main band, Issues vocalist Tyler Carter has laid down six solo tracks in the latest in a long line of career curveballs. As it happens, though, ‘Leave Your Love’ is the most straight-down-the-line effort he’s been involved in for a long while. The pure R&B on the likes of ‘Leave Your Love’ are propelled along nicely by that inimitable voice and although the cloying, loved-up ‘So Slow’ will put a few fans of his main band off, this EP is another taste of just how versatile Tyler Carter’s voice – and tastes – can be.
