The Twilight Sad - Fourteen Autumns Cover

Stop right now: do not approach The Twilight Sad without first loading up on more uppers than your voluminous pockets could ever carry.

Stop right now, those of a slightly depressive demeanour: do not approach The Twilight Sad without first loading up on more uppers than your voluminous pockets could ever carry. This is a band whose take on the morose is so startling in its perfect execution that even those impervious to the twin titans of melancholy indie-rock, Messrs Middleton and Moffat, are likely to be swept away by its epic embellishment of all known misery. Primarily hooked to matters of the heart, these songs are swelled by skilful arrangements, ensuring that it's not quite as heard-it-all-before as an on-paper summarisation may suggest. But the Scots need to allow at least a little light in for their future material to be palatable for mass consumption.
