The James Cleaver Quintet - That Was Then, This Is Now Cover

Take album, press play, wait for head to explode...

Listening to The James Cleaver Quintet is something like the musical equivalent of running around in circles for a few minutes after a few pints and then trying to run down a central reservation with your eyes closed. It’s dangerous and insane, but stacks of fun nonetheless. ‘That Was Then, This Is Now’ peppers baffling and brilliant instrumental augmentations over solid mathcore roots, and ends up manic, exciting and as a breath of fresh air. Certainly not for the faint hearted, but if technical garage-punk sounds like it’ll tickle your fancy, it’s a more than welcome punch in the face.
