The James Cleaver Quintet - Ten Stages Of A Make Up Cover

Caustic riffing has enough homegrown piss and bile to carry each song...

Eastbourne, land of milk and honey, where groups of old dears gather to knit on the promenade while toothless granddads suck down chips and mushy peas as the waves soothingly lap against the shore. A place of peace, tranquillity and calm. Well, maybe, but only if you ignore the rowdy seagulls, bored cider drinking teens and The James Cleaver Quartet, purveyors of frenetic punk and roll noise. The band’s latest EP sounds more San Diego than Southern Coast yet their caustic riffing has enough homegrown piss and bile to carry each song. The James Cleaver Quartet are all bombast and fire, but that’s no bad thing.
