Single Mothers - ‘Our Pleasure’ Cover

The Canadian punks are back and they're angry.

If, like some, you felt disappointed by Single Mothers’ 2014 debut album ‘Negative Qualities’ lacking a little of the bite the Ontario punks made a calling card on their first couple of EPs, ‘Our Pleasure’ will go some way to bringing you back into the fold.

There might be (another) new gang of ne’er-do-wells backing Drew Thompson’s side-eyed causticity here, but the spirit remains the same.

‘Undercover’ hyperactively seethes, ‘People Are Pets’ sneers with a lusty swing and ‘Well-Wisher’ is like a musical knife to the throat, such is its menace.

Drew’s definitely been reunited with his fury again, and it feels so good.
