Seahaven - Reverie Lagoon: Music For Escapism Only
"Seahaven have taken a really bold step in defining their sound and creating a genuinely cohesive, start-to-finish album."
SoCal’s Seahaven – another dot on the geographically-named-bands map – sent a pulse through their scene with ’11 debut ‘Winter Forever,’ and their indie-punk sound seems much more refined on their second album. Most notably, they seem more confident this time around; produced by singer Kyle Soto, the vocals in particular are clearer and mixed louder than ‘Winter Forever,’ making it a really bold step in defining their sound and creating a genuinely cohesive, start-to-finish album. More than that, the production allows the introspective oddness of Soto’s lyrics to show through better, lending them a really likeable, stand-out character.
