Rob Lynch - All These Nights In Bars Will Somehow Save My Soul Cover

Our mate Rob Lynch has had quite a year, and this week finally sees the release of his long-overdue debut album. These are our thoughts.

London-based singer-songwriter and Warped Tour alumnus Rob Lynch’s debut album is more than enough to solidify his status as a relatable, down-to-earth troubadour. Classic singalong ‘My Friends & I’ has been transplanted from his ’11 EP, and given a shiny new studio sheen, while the strength of tracks like ‘Widow’, ‘Some Nights’ and ‘Stamford’ keep the record ticking along nicely. The stripped-back songs featuring just Rob and his guitar are confidently delivered, but when additional instrumentation comes into play some of that emotionally bare, charm feels stifled. Ultimately though, these songs are warm, familiar and likeable, from a promising new talent.
