We haven't shut up about this lot since we first heard 'St. Patrick'. Here's why.

Dropping standout track ‘St. Patrick’ early was the best and worst thing that Pvris could have done. On the one hand, a slew of new fans have got on board with the dark, synthetic pop brilliance of their lead single but on the other, it’s disappointing that nothing on the band’s debut full-length ‘White Noise’ quite compares to its breakout track. The likes of a pounding ‘My House’, pumped up ‘Fire’ and haunting anthem ‘Mirrors’ come close, but the varying quality across these 10 tracks makes for an equals parts enthralling and frustrating listen. Overall, though, this album is a fine introduction to one of the scene’s most exciting and original new bands. Keep an eye on this lot.
