Pierce The Veil - Collide With The Sky Cover

This lot still have a flair for the dramatic... but is 'Collide With The Sky' any good?

When Pierce The Veil titled their debut album ‘A Flair For The Dramatic’, they weren’t taking the piss. Now elbowing back into the post-hardcore party with record numero tres, the helium-voiced heroes have honed their craft without reining in their more exuberant tendencies: stuffed with processed beats and sky-scraping choruses while demonstrating a comprehensive lack of restraint, this 12-track set is a purist’s nightmare, but should set PTV in good stead for their quest to break the European market. Though the tone remains uneven, songs like ‘Hell Above’ rank among their best, and you’ll need a power drill to dislodge the melodies.
