Motionless In White - Reincarnate Cover

Chris Motionless and Co. are carving their own path. But is 'Reincarnate' the resolute success it needs to be?

Motionless In White’s third full-length sees them firming up the sound they settled on with last album ‘Infamous’, but with varying degrees of success. For starters, tar-coated opener ‘Death March’ runs a little too close to becoming a Marilyn Manson B-side, and ‘Puppets 3 (The Grand Finale)’ shoehorns a guest spot from Cradle Of Filth man Dani Filth into an already muddled mix. There is promise here, though. The grimy swagger of ‘Everybody Sells Cocaine’ and skyscraping chorus of the title track hint that while ‘Reincarnate’ isn’t anywhere near the one for Motionless In White, their next effort may well be.
