Modern Life Is War - Fever Hunting
This seminal hardcore outfit are still angry and have something to say...
Fact: Modern Life Is War were the most beloved hardcore band of the last decade. Choosing to burn out rather than fade away, their impact can be seen in the likes of every popular emotionally volatile act doing the rounds right now. ‘Fever Hunting’ was never going to be a game changer like ‘Witness’, but the post-hiatus band are still angry and have something to say. Jeffrey Eaton’s throat-stripping vocals now paint the picture of a trapped adult as opposed to a confused kid, while his musical backing has (slightly) eased off the violence, the swinging groove of ‘Dark Water’ a highlighted change of pace. Welcome back, gang.
