Does the world really need more pop-punk songs about being young and lost? When Milestones are behind the wheel, you bet.
Though this Manchester crew’s new EP is a downcast and disconsolate affair, the gorgeously frayed melodies of ‘Call Me Disaster’ and defiant bounce of ‘Hindsight’ keep it from full-on Eeyore status.
‘Equal Measures’ is as much about ‘woahs’ as woes, with nods to You Me At Six’s bratty early days and some welcome injections of grit. Hell, they even muster a decent, shirt-tugging ballad in ‘Shot In The Dark’. There’s room for growth, but this is exciting stuff nevertheless.
