The Canadian pop-punk five-piece come at us hard with their debut self-titled EP.
As pop-punk’s much-touted new wave takes stock and gears up for round two, there’s yet another batch of young pretenders looking to bounce through the door. One of those bands is Like Pacific, who don’t completely fit the stereotype – they hail from the less sunny climes of Toronto, Canada – but this self-titled EP is full of white hot energy all the same. The punchy ‘Eviction’ hides a good fist of melody inside the hardcore-isms of The Story So Far, while breakneck, shirt-tugging anthem ‘105 McCaul St.’ is more than enough to tide you over until summer and the Warped Tour at the very least.
