Now here’s an impressive debut. In Gratitude’s first attempt – a six-track, self released EP – doesn’t sound like a debut, nor does it sound like they should have had to release it themselves. It certainly sounds like they’ve done this before. Glistening pop vibes spill over a keyboard-laden canvas, awash with textured guitars, off-kilter beats and sweet-as-sugar vocal lines coupled with distant shout-outs. The Somerset four-piece are racking up live shows left, right and centre, fast building a reputation for gentle, shimmering pop sensibilities with a bit of a bite.
