Haust - Powers Of Horror Cover

Haust's second outing is a true horror

Black metal has come a long way since it emanated from Norway’s darkened shores in the late 80s and with just about every other genre blending with the chainsaw elements of hardcore, it was only a matter of time before this harsh metal institution became cross-pollinated too. From the off, Haust’s second outing, ‘Powers Of Horror’, is a fearful and frenzied affair, with singer Vebjørn Guttormsgaard Møllberg’s harshended vowels lending extra malice to the rasping vocals set against a backdrop powerhouse of hardcore-style axework, heavy duty bass and pummelling drums. It’s a fucking glorious cacophony spliced with a sick sense of humour… nice! A true horror!
