Four Year Strong - Go Down In History Cover

We give Four Year Strong's latest EP the review treatment. The question is: will they, um, go down in history?

Pop-punk’s beardiest men made a brave move on their ’11 album ‘In Some Way, Shape Or Form’, parting ways with keyboard player Josh Lyford and drastically moving their sound in a more straightforward radio-rock direction. Some fans wavered, but now the Massachusetts quartet are back with a new EP that reminds us what made them so exciting in the first place. While holding onto the grit of their last release, ‘Go Down In History’ brings back the pop sensibilities and defiant swagger that made ‘Rise Or Die Trying’ such a gamechanger. They’re not stuck in 2007, but they certainly haven’t forgotten it.
