For All I Am - No Home Cover

Have For All I Am upped their game on album #2? Time to find out...

Those who say a second album without progress is pointless are wrong. People are interested, and although a hint of evolution can be heard on For All I Am’s ‘No Home’, it’s really just a second round of metalcore-by-numbers from this young Chicago gang. As far as your customary face-melting breakdowns and alternating sing / scream go, this is up there with the very best. ‘Six Souls’ and ‘Tunnel Vision’ stalk and ambush like a prepubescent Motionless In White; all glitchy synth, melodic choruses and snarling verses. And while their formulaic approach means it all begins to wear a bit thin towards the end, ‘No Home’ is still worth a listen.
