Fighting With Wire - Colonel Blood Cover

You've got the stream, now read what we made of the record...

On the follow-up to their 2008 debut ‘Man Vs Monster’, which perked up a fair amount of ears – including our own - around the country, Fighting With Wire return in triumphant form with ‘Colonel Blood’. Swelling with gumption and full of chunky hooks, there’s a distinctively British rock formula here that’s laced with a Foo Fighters influence to sound freshly bold. Frontman Cahir O’Doherty stands out on highlight ‘Erase You’, while ‘Waiting On A Way To Believe’ leans towards being a ferocious anthem. It’s taken two and a half years to finally release, but ‘Colonel Blood’ is satisfyingly rocking.
