Erra - Augment Cover

"Augment manages to cram in enough complicated breakdown rhythms to keep what will no doubt be an ever-growing fanbase sated..."

Southern boys Erra deal with some awfully familiar metal elements but manage to put enough of their own spin on proceedings to leave ‘Augment’ as a pretty satisfying listen. Tech metal with loads of groove and plenty of vocals hooks, it isn’t a million miles removed from Periphery, yet manages to cram in enough complicated breakdown rhythms to keep what will no doubt be an ever-growing fanbase sated, while spin kicking their lives away. The addition of some xylophone-esque shenanigans super-low in the mix is an intriguing move, adding to the ethereal moments when the distortion is dialed down. More please.
