Crossfaith - Apocalyze Cover

Raising the bar for metalcore as a whole? Yep, that's Crossfaith.

Hotly tipped for 2013,
Crossfaith’s debut full-length, ‘Apocalyze’ proves more than worthy of the hype surrounding them. Emphasising the eclectic blend of metal and electro present on their previous ‘Zion’ EP, the Japanese juggernauts have upped the ante in almost every respect possible. While the likes of ‘We Are The Future’ and ‘Deathwish’ are as thunderously rampant as said predecessor, the synth-laden ‘Eclipse’ heavily leans on the electro influence, complete with a customary drop of dub. But it’s the scintillating progression of ‘Scarlett’ and ‘Counting Stars’ that really shows ‘Apocalyze’ has not only raised the bar for electronic metalcore, but for the metal scene as a whole. Champions elect? Quite possibly.
