Creeper At Reading Festival: “There Aren’t Many Bands Like This In The World…”

Creeper at Reading Festival. In a word: impressive.

THERE AREN’T MANY BANDS LIKE THIS IN THE WORLD RIGHT NOW
Creeper are, let’s be clear, one of the most powerful, affecting bands in the world right now. You can barely move in this field without seeing a Callous Heart daubed across a T-shirt and the anticipation is palpable as they roll onstage.

We’ve been saying it for a long time, but they are a band who ought to blow up. Big time.

THEIR MELODIC SENSIBILITY IS WHAT MAKES THIS SPECIAL
What sets the Southampton sextet apart is their ability to carve a gripping chorus out of their powerfully emotional woodwork.

'Misery', 'VCR' and 'Astral Projection' are all the works of a group of musicians who understand the inner machinations of how songs work. These are the skills that will take them very, very far.

WE NEED AN ALBUM
If there is one thing Creeper are lacking right now, it's a something that will tip them from cult favourites into genuine best sellers.

When a full-length record comes, it will a landmark moment for them, and while we adore the songs they are playing today, the hunger and anticipation from the crowd for them to take it to the next level is palpable.

We're all waiting for the big one, and fingers crossed the tunes that will enable them to rule the world are imminent.
