It's been seven years. They're back. And we're happy to say, with something pretty darn good.
This first full-length in seven years from Delaware hardcore legends Boysetsfire doesn’t disappoint. ‘While A Nation Sleeps…’ is typically impassioned, excellent stuff that marries wretched, raw aggression and political indignation with massive melodies that are just on the right side of cheesy. Few bands do this with such class, with the likes of ‘Closure’ and ‘Reason To Believe’ featuring the kind of polished, mainstream rock appeal that led to BSF’s ultimately unhappy major label dalliance, while ‘Everything Went Black’ is brilliantly noisy and belligerent. There’s a consistency to these divergent qualities, though, in that every song’s a hugely catchy belter. Welcome back, guys.
