Hands up who wants to hear old Bowling For Soup songs, again?
Apparently, Bowling For Soup’s old label released a greatest hits album without the band having all that much of a hand in it a few years back, so now they’ve decided to do it again, but ‘properly’ this time. In the first of two parts, the band have re-recorded 18 tracks from their first decade in business to give a twist on their formula, and while classics like ‘Girl All The Bad Guys Want’ and ‘Punk Rock 101’ are present and correct, they seem to have lost a little of their sheen. All of that means on their second run, the band have taken songs that people actually liked and made them a little less good.
