Beartooth’s second full-length is very much a continuation of the sound they established on their debut, but that’s far from a bad thing.
Songs like ‘Hated’ and ‘Burnout’ deliver the perfect mix of fist-in-the-face mosh and scream-your-lungs-out choruses. There’s another John Feldmann co-penned anthem in ‘Sick Of Me’ and things get really raucous on ‘Always Dead’. What makes it better than the majority of the ‘heavier yet more melodic’ bands out there is the fact that Caleb Shomo’s raw lyrics are delivered with an intense honesty that hits harder than most.
In a world where most people are screaming songs about their exes, partying or their haircuts, Beartooth are a band that truly deliver songs for the disenfranchised.
