Bad Sign - Destroy Cover

Oh yes. This is what we like.

Could this year’s hardest hitting riffs and most cerebral-yet-primitive hardcore come from Croydon? Well we wouldn’t have predicted it either, but Bad Sign are genuine contenders with the appropriately-titled ‘Destroy’. The trio’s latest EP deploys a heavy and chaotic brilliance akin to the Biffy Clyro (‘Confession’) while also sniffing in Gallows territory with emotionally-charged, visceral vocals (‘Father’). But it’s the massive, closing title-track that threatens to raze everything to the ground in one big, brutish blast. Staggeringly raw and personal, it tops off an immense release from one of Britain’s most promising bands.
