Anthony Green - Young Legs Cover

"Anthony Green's distinctively high pitched whine continues to polarise listeners like the marmite of alt-rock."

Falling somewhere between his Circa Survive prog-stylings and the folksy offerings of his solo back catalogue, Anthony Green is back with his ethereal third album ‘Young Legs’. Green teams up again with indie-groove backing band Good Old War for a (sometimes tangential) collection of atmospheric post-rock tracks. From the uplifting keys on ‘100 Steps’, to slow shoegaze number ‘When You Sang To Me’ and country-tinged ‘Conversation Piece’ his ambitiousness doesn’t falter. Yet, the constant is Green’s voice – classically one-size-fits-all – a distinctively high pitched whine that will continue to polarise listeners like the marmite of alt-rock.
