Alestorm - Back Through Time Cover

With accordion embedded songs about midgets, it's hard to dispute how much fun Alestorm can be...

Scottish pirate metal is a misunderstood genre...actually, no it’s not. Amazingly reaching their third album of songs about being jolly, on a ship, with beer, sailing the high seas, Alestorm plant their tongues firmly in cheek as their drinking songs with chanting choruses about, well, drinking, and stealing wenches, aren’t a massive departure from their previous records, but then again, how much scope does pirate metal afford? With accordion embedded songs about midgets, it’s quite hard to dispute with how much fun their songs can be, and that’s where Alestorm succeed, in wanting nothing more than having a good time.
