Jayden joined us on the Rock Sound Podcast to fill us in on the band's progress on album two.
HOW FAR ALONG ARE YOU WITH THE NEW ALBUM? "I'm going to say that we're about 80% of the way there now. I think we are on track and we have a whole bunch of songs that i'm over the moon about.
"It's definitely a step up from 'Better Weather'. I think these songs are better. I think they are more mature. I think you can see a natural progression of what we've done and I think it will all come together when we are in the studio with Mike [Green], who we all really respect as a producer and I think he will be able to help mould what we have got right now and come up with something really amazing."
WERE THE 'BETTER WEATHER' B-SIDES JUST SONGS THAT DIDN'T MAKE THE ALBUM THEN? "For the first album we just wanted something that sounded consistant and was just a strong collection of songs. I think that's why we only did 10 songs. We felt like 'Poison' and 'Here For Nothing' weren't really ready yet and they didn't really fit in anywhere on the album."
Jayden also spoke about how the band go about writing their music.
"I think sometimes we just do stuff for us. It might not be ideal but we like what we do and we have fun with it.
"We know what the limit is. If we were to go all out we would end up with this really weird experiemental rock band. I think we know what we want to write and sometimes we have to stop at band practice and say 'I think we are taking this 5 minute solo a little too far'. We just have fun with it though. That's the whole point. It translates.
"I think sometimes you can tell that bands are taking you for a ride a little bit and it doesn't really feel real. Personally I don't like music that doesn't feel real. It feels like ten dudes in suits who have put this thing together because they think people are going to find it really catchy."
