Funds will be going to the Australian Children's Music Foundation.
With Confidence's Jayden Seeley has revealed that he is auctioning off one of his basses for charity.
All money raised from the auction of the Squier Affinity Jazz will be donated to The Australian Childrens Music Foundation.
It looks a little like this:
Jayden had this to say about the bass:
"For sale is the very first bass I ever bought. It's a red Squier Affinity Jazz Bass and was purchased because at the time the band didn't have a bassist, so I agreed to give it a try. This bass is what a lot of earlier With Confidence songs were written on, has travelled around tours in Australia multiple times, and is featured on all music videos from the 'Distance EP' era. A part of me and the band exists within this bass and all of its marks, which is what I believe to be so special about it.
The bass itself is in good condition and is playable, and I'd love to see it going to a home that continues its musical legacy. I will service and restring this before sending it out. I'm including the original hard case I bought for touring, which like the bass has its own unique rough edges.
100% of the auctions proceeds will be going to The Australian Childrens Music Foundation. They're a charity doing incredible work providing music education and instruments to disadvantaged and indigenous children, as well as youth at risk around Australia. Music has time and time again proven beneficial in cognitive development when introduced at an early age, so in supporting this auction you're also helping spark creativity in the minds of tomorrow.
Because a bass guitar is extremely expensive to courier, I'd recommend this to Australian buyers. Alternatively if you're from the US or UK/EU, I'd be happy to guest list you on one of our upcoming tour dates and give it to you in person, helping avoid crazy delivery costs. Happy to try to sort something out that works for you!"
