Normandie's new album 'Dark & Beautiful Secrets' is just around the corner and the band have provided another little taste of it.
'Hostage' is that taste and serves as a quintessential slice of Normandie, with a huge anthemic chorus and plenty of slithering atmospheres and builds.
And much like the rest of the tracks on 'D&BS', it's a very honest and open look into vocalist Philip Strand's past and present.
Let him explain:
"When I was 22 I suffered from severe anxiety and experienced something called DP, De-Personalisation. I couldn't recognise myself in the mirror and it felt like nobody could see or hear me. It was like I didn't exist. 'Hostage' is about those experiences and is written from the perspective of what it felt like inside these panic attacks."

You will be able to hear the full record when it is released next week (February 19).
