This is genuinely incredible.

It was announced last month that Against The Current frontwoman Chrissy Costanza had returned to the Leage Of Legends gaming franchise, and had recorded the official anthem for the 2019 world championship event.

The track 'Phoenix' is a collaboration with Cailin Russo, who is most famous for playing Justin Bieber's love interest in a handful of music videos over the years.

Against The Current made an appearance at the opening ceremony of the 2017 League Of Legends Worlds after writing the anthem, but over the weekend Chrissy made a return to the event to perform this year's anthem live.

The League Of Legends Worlds were launched in Paris over the weekend, with the performance of 'Phoenix' marking the start of the opening ceremony. And can we just make a suggestion that all of those visual effects make an appearance at upcoming Against The Current shows, because WOW.

Check out the opening ceremony of the League Of Legends Worlds below:

Speaking on the track, Chrissy shared, "Working on ‘Phoenix’, this year’s [League Of Legends] Worlds anthem, has been such a surreal experience. This song is so dynamic and so special - it’s soft and introspective, and quiet, but then it’s empowered and strong and vibrant."

She continued, "The first line ‘what are you willing to lose’ - that hit me right in the chest. I was like, that’s incredible. This song kind of takes you through the progression of it’s all in your head, these monsters that you have to get over - and finally, conquering ourselves, and validating ourselves.

"In League Of Legends it’s all about standing back up every time you get knocked down - you’re never gonna reach the top if you don’t keep climbing.

"This song was written for something so much bigger than me. People aren’t there just for the song, they’re there for the game and the atmosphere, and the whole energy that goes along with it, and it’s just electrifying to feel a part of it. You just want so much to do well by it - I just wanted to do the best job I could possibly do."
