Work on the follow up to ISSUES' 2016 album 'Headspace' has well and truly started- and the lads are heading back to their roots for their new album.
We had a chat with ISSUES frontman Tyler Carter in the current issue of Rock Sound, and he shared “Something that happened when we made ‘Headspace’ was we started overthinking."
He continued “We were too worried and too scared so it caused us to overcompensate when we didn’t need to. This time around we started thinking what it was like before all of that pressure. At one point in time we loved this band and loved what we were doing. Why now have we somehow felt disconnected from the true art? We just put ourselves back in the mindset of when we were young and hungry. We needed to take it back to the root of it all. We wanted to do whatever we want with our music again without overthinking and overcompensating. We once again feel like we have the freedom to do that.”
So basically this all sounds super super promising. Consider us excited.
ISSUES' are hitting the UK with Don Broco and Neck Deep from next week! Get all the details on that here.
