Twenty One Pilots’ ‘The Hype’ Is The Number One Single In The Rock Airplay Chart

Turns out that maybe we do believe the hype.

Twenty One Pilots' sixth single off 'Trench' is currently the number one track on US rock radio, according to Billboard

After spending 16 weeks in the chart, 'The Hype' has now taken the top spot, de-throning Coldplay and Green Day who previously held the title.

The Billboard Radio Airplay Chart measures the week's most popular rock songs, ranked by radio airplay audience impressions. So this is quite the achievement. 'The Hype' is getting a LOT of radio love right now.

This news comes only one week after 'The Hype' managed to hold the number one position on the Billboard Alternative Songs Chart for three weeks, which we can all agree is impressive - but it's actually a much more signigicant milestone than that.

With a third week occupying the top spot, that means that every Twenty One Pilots number one single has had at least three weeks at number one. Huge!

Additionally, it was also shared last week that 'Blurryface' is the number one rock album of the decade.

Congratulations to Twenty One Pilots, who are certainly ending the decade on a VERY high note.
