The frontman appeared on 'The Drew Barrymore Show'.
Trivium frontman Matt Heafy gave a kind hearted fan a special gift in an appearance on daytime talk show 'The Drew Barrymore Show'.
UPS driver Hector Velasco appeared on the show in a segment called 'Drew-Gooders' that highlights people doing nice things in their local community.
Hector was nominated to appear after he gave a gift to four year old Langston, a kid on his delivery route, who had been feeling alone during these last few months but would get excited whenever his van drove by. Seeing how much his van (and the music he was playing) cheered him up in these lonely months of quarantine, Hector decided to go one further and delivered him a personal package of candy and toy trucks. What a good dude!
So, to say thank you, Drew had a surprise for Hector and, knowing that his favourite band was Trivium, got Heafy to step in and help out, donating a Gibson Les Paul guitar:
"Hey Hector, it's Matt Heafy, singer and guitar player of the multi-platinum metal band Trivium. Drew told me you love blasting our music while you're out delivering in your community, so Drew and I got together to put together a special surprise for you. t's something a little bit like this thing right here, a Gibson Les Paul in ebony. This is the one I use, yours is going to look pretty much like this. I've been using these things for a couple years, I hope you love it as much as I do".
