With all the recent talk of Fyre Festival, Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker has shared his relief that the band pulled out of the 2017 event.
When it became obvious that the ill-fated festival was on a one-way course set for disaster, Blink-182 were the first act to withdraw from the line-up.
"Thank God we pulled out," shared Travis Barker on the Joe Rogan podcast. “I would have had to drive five or six days to Florida and then get in a boat and then get over to the Bahamas. I was literally on my way there.”
Travis Barker has had to travel exclusively by land and sea for the past decade since an horrific plane crash 10 years ago which left him severely burned, and he almost lost his foot.
He did however admit that he'd be willing to get back on a plane in the future if his kids wanted to travel. He also shared that he really misses performing live in Australia and Japan, as it's just not possible to get there on a touring schedule without flying.
