'Doris', is that you?

Suicide Silence's new material has proven... controversial, to say the least.

The first single from their upcoming, self-titled album, 'Doris', has over 26,000 dislikes on Youtube. 'Fans' have even started a petition, demanding that the band don't release the record.

Now YouTuber Jared Dines has unveiled a downbeat acoustic take on the track and it's... well, it's something.

Check it out here:

Okay then.

There's also a version where all the vocals are replaced with Eddie Hermida's so-called 'teehee' vocal, from the start of the track.

 ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Here's the original for comparison.

Suicide Silence will tour the UK soon, with ultra-heavy death metal crew Venom Prison. Those dates are:

MARCH

19 - SOUTHAMPTON Engine Rooms
20 - MANCHESTER Club Academy
21 - GLASGOW Garage
22 - BIRMINGHAM Academy II
23 - BRISTOL Marble Factory
24 - LONDON Koko
