The Xcerts’ Video For ‘I Don’t Care’ Is The Best Low-Budget Video There Ever Was

Who needs confetti cannons and pyro when you've got a bunch of MATES and some sparklers? Not The Xcerts. Oh no.

Speaking of that total funfest, the band's vocalist / guitarist / lovelyman Murray Macleod has said:

"When we were demoing 'There Is Only You', 'I Don't Care' went through countless changes lyrically. It was a pretty frustrating time for me personally as i wanted the chorus to be as big and as simple as possible but i just couldn't find the finish line. A record company also told us it was a hit single but the lyrics wouldn't relate to anyone. Out of pure frustration i wrote the line 'I don't care no more, if you've got something to say then just say it', and i had finally found the chorus. The overall meaning of the song is about reaching breaking point with someone who is clearly upset about something you've done or said, yet refuses to express why. Bottling things up and exploding is not a good way to live."

"We made the video in Nottingham with our friends Holomax. We are usually pretty useless when cameras are pointed in our direction but we had a total blast making this video. We had a six-hour window to shoot the video in and unbelievably we only ran half an hour behind schedule. I'm going to blame our tour manager for surprising us with a pizza party mid shoot. Good guy."

The Xcerts have a headlining tour kicking off in April, as well as bunch of other appearances lined up over the next few months. Go and watch them please.
