He's the Grammy nominated mastermind behind some of the biggest albums in our world, and now he's stepping in to the spotlight.
You may not know him by name, but you absolutely know his work. Dan Lancaster is a producing and songwriting mastermind behind the likes of Blink-182's 'California', ONE OK ROCK's 'Ambitions', Don Broco's 'Technology'- the list goes on.
Today he's released his own solo music.
Speaking about the decision to move from recording and producing albums for some of the biggest bands in our world, he said “I produce a lot for other artists, and you get to express yourself that but only up to a point. I’ve always wanted to put something of my own out when the timing was right. I'd been writing in between projects and started to upload little clips to my Instagram, but the turning point was when I wrote 'Move A Mountain' - then it felt like the start of something and the benchmark for everything to follow”
'Moving A Mountain' is pretty great, too- it sounds a little like 'Ambitions' with a sprinkling of Don Broco in there and just a smattering of Good Charlotte. It's good listening.
