"We’ve put it on the shelf for now"

Corey Taylor has revealed that Stone Sour are on indefinite hiatus.

The news comes after Corey finally announced the details of his debut solo album 'CMFT'.

In a new interview on The Green Room With Neil Grittfiths, he had this to say:

"I feel like Stone Sour has run its course for now. We all talked as a band and decided to put Stone Sour on indefinite hiatus. That’s the way it is. We’ve put it on the shelf for now. Everybody is kind of going and doing their own thing."

Then when asked where Slipknot fits into his solo plans, he had this to say:

"Slipknot obviously is always going to be the big dog. I can kind of ghost in and out of that. It’s never been my whole thing anywhere. It’s always been more of a collaborative effort.

Once everything comes back to life I’ll be wrapping that up tour wise. But until then I’ll definitely be hitting the road with the solo band to take this around the world and really show the world that other side of me. This is really a peek at what the Corey Taylor And Friends shows were like."

Stone Sour released their last full-length record in 2017 in the form of 'Hydrograd', featuring the likes of 'Rose Red Violent Blue':

'CMFT' is scheduled for release on October 02 via Roadrunner Records.
