Spiritbox, grandson & The Dirty Nil Have Received Nominations At The 2022 JUNO Awards

A big year for Canadian rock music.

The nominations for the JUNO Awards, the celebration of all things Canadian, have been revealed. And some familiar, and well deserved, faces have made an appearance.

First up is Spiritbox, who are crowning their incredible 2021 with a pair of nods.

The first is for Metal / Hard Music Album of the Year, where their debut album 'Eternal Blue' is up against Brand Of Sacrifice's 'Lifeblood', Archspire's 'Bleed The Future', Danko Jones' 'Power Trio' and The Agonist's 'Days Before The World Wept'.

They are also up for Breakthrough Group of the Year against Black Pistol Fire, cleopatrick, MONOWHALES and Ocie Elliott.

grandson is up for Alternative Album of the Year with 'Death Of An Optimist' alongside Chiiild's 'Hope For Sale', Mustafa The Poet's 'When Smoke Rises', Ruby Waters' 'If It Comes Down To It' and SATE's 'The Fool'.

And The Dirty Nil are up for Rock Album of the Year with 'Fuck Art', and it is up against Arkells' 'Blink Once', Black Pistol Fire's 'Look Alive', The Beaches' 'Sisters Not Twins (The Professional Lovers Album)' and The Bluestones' Hidden Gems'.
