Sure, Ice Nine Kills are known for writing songs based on famous horror films. But that's not a new thing - horror has been a way of life for frontman Spencer Charnas since the beginning, he revealed in his Rock Sound cover feature.

“When I was walking around my neighborhood dressed up as Michael Myers, it wasn’t just on Halloween. It was for the whole month,” Spencer shared.

“See, I was always the kid who would be showing my friends what bands were really heavy and what films were really gory. I was the kid who went and saw Scream in theatres and the kid who handed it around to everyone when it came out on VHS. I was always at the forefront of pushing boundaries.

He continued, “Getting to relive [my childhood] onstage every night, as my actual job, is a dream. Sometimes I forget to take a step back and drink in what we’re actually doing. It’s incredible.”
