There are various reports online that an audience member had a portion of their ear bitten off during a brawl at a recent Eagles Of Death Metal show.

The incident took place at the band's gig at Toronto's Opera House over the weekend.

Will Schatz, the venue's sound engineer, told AUX that it was "the craziest Toronto crowd I have ever seen. Not the usual sleepy Toronto crowd.”

He didn't actually see it go down, but "all the stories I have heard were different degrees of two guys fighting."

"One guy was crazy and bit the other dude’s ear off," he continued. "Then it turned into stories of a brawl where a guy got his ear bit off, then stories about the ear being walked on until someone was able to get it in a cup of ice.”

Pitchfork reports that EODM drummer Jorma Vik posted an update regarding the incident to Facebook, saying "
First time for everything I guess!".

The post, however, appears to have been deleted and the band are yet to officially comment on the matter.
