Scientists from Goldsmiths University have declared Nirvana's 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' the most iconic song of all time.

They used a computer algorithm to compare numerous tracks, factoring in elements like chord changes, beats per minute and lyrical content.

'Smells Like Teen Spirit' came out on top, with Queen's 'Bohemian Rhapsody' and The Sex Pistols' 'God Save The Queen' also ranking highly.
