Slipknot Have Beaten Ed Sheeran And Drake To Have The Top Album In Both The UK And US

Turns out, they kind of are our kind.

Slipknot have officially done it on both sides of the Atlantic - proving that heavy music is actually alive and well - they've scored a number one debut for their new album 'We Are Not Your Kind' in both the US and UK album charts.

The news of their number one UK debut broke at close of business on Friday evening, but it was only this morning that Billboard announced that Slipknot had also clinched the number one slot in the US charts as well.

This is particularly big news, because in each territory they've had to go head to head with some of the biggest pop artists in the world - dethroning Ed Sheeran's 'No. 6 Collaborations Project' in the UK, and Drake's 'Care Package' in the US.

Turns out that their album title might not be all that accurate, because it looks like they might actually be our kind after all.

Pick up your special, collectors' edition Slipknot cover of Rock Sound's 250th issue now! There's only 250 of these in existence, and once they're gone, they're gone.
