Oh shiiiiiit! You Me At Six will headline Slam Dunk Festival's 10-year anniversary weekend, and there's a whole lot more to get excited about, too!

The cat is officially out of the bag: Surrey rockers You Me At Six will headline this year's Slam Dunk Festival weekend in May. Speaking of the booking, that man Josh Franceschi has said:

“We are really excited to be headlining Slam Dunk Festival again. We had a lot of fun last time we played there, and can’t wait to close the festival each night. Leeds in particular will always have a special place in You Me’s hearts as our first ever label and management company was based there. 10 years of the band, so it feels right to be part of the festival!”

Meanwhile, the fest's organiser Ben Ray has said:

“Being the 10th Slam Dunk Festival I thought I’d make it a special one! I’ve wanted to make the move back to Millennium Square in Leeds for a while, so to do it this year is great. To have 3 former headliners to come back & play the same year is crazy. As I used to manage You Me At Six and I released their first album on Slam Dunk Records makes it even more special."

THAT'S NOT ALL, THOUGH. An additional 15 names have been confirmed to play the fest this May. They aaaaaaare:

Taking Back Sunday
Lower Than Atlantis
Reel Big Fish
The Wonder Years
Neck Deep
Knuckle Puck
Comeback Kid

Another 30+ acts are yet to be announced to play across seven stages at Slam Dunk Festival 2015.

The Slam Dunk 2015 itinerary looks a bit like this:

MAY 2015
23 - SLAM DUNK NORTH LEEDS City Centre (festival spread across Millennium Square, O2 Academy, Leeds Beckett University & Outdoor Stages)
25 - SLAM DUNK MIDLANDS WOLVERHAMPTON City Centre (festival spread across Wulfrun Hall, Civic Hall, Civic Bar & Outdoor Stages)

Yes, you may have noticed that the fest is moving away from its regular home at Leeds University for the North date. Whyso? Here's an explanation from their website (sort of):

"Departing from Leeds University (who have been wonderful hosts for the past 8 events!), 2015 sees the festival returns to its original setting in Millennium Square. But that’s not where it stops! #SDF15 takes over a chunk of Leeds City Centre (Millennium Square, O2 Academy, Leeds Beckett University, as well as the surrounding areas) to bring you the best there is to offer in Pop Punk, Ska, Punk and Hardcore."
