He will also serve as producer and music supervisor on the show.
Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz is branching out into new musical area with news that he is set to work on a new TV series airing on Snapchat.
According to Hollywood Reporter, the scripted comedy series, entitled 'Everything's Fine', will focus on "a college student dealing with bipolar disorder and trying to make it in the music industry". It was developed by 'Bridesmaids' director Paul Feig's company Powderkeg and is set to be released in 2020.
Pete will serve as a producer and music supervisor on the series as well as contributing original music.
This isn't the Fall Out Boy star's first foray into television - earlier this year it was revealed that he had co-created a musical kids cartoon series with Blink-182's Mark Hoppus entitled 'Bronze Blue'.
Meanwhile, Fall Out Boy recently announced that they will soon release their second greatest hits collection 'Believers Never Die, Volume Two', before heading out on the 'Hella Mega Tour' alonogside Green Day and Weezer in 2020.
