Speaking to Rock Sound backstage at Download Festival over the weekend, the lads in Palaye Royale leaked the titles of two of their upcoming, unreleased singles, and revealed the creative direction that their new era will be taking them in.
"We’re introducing a new style and aggression that wasn’t there with ‘Side A’ and ‘Side B’," shared guitarist Sebastian Danzig. "The fans have had a little insight into it, but we’ve also been hiding a lot, which has been nice. So there’s probably now like 30 songs [written] for this record. And we’re just deciding exactly which direction we want it to take."
At which point frontman Remington Leith interjected “This record is the record I’ve always dreamed of making - that’s what I want to say about it.”
And as for any clues about the new aesthetic? Emerson Barrett shared “I think our newest single will kind of encapsulate that a bit - it’s called ‘Nervous Breakdown’. And it explains how we’re feeling.”
As yet there's no date announced for when we're set to hear new music from Palaye, but consider us excited for the future.
