It was for an important cause.

Neck Deep launched a charity T-shirt in honour of frontman Ben Barlow's dad last night, and it sold out in just an hour.

The band explained in a Facebook post:

"On the 12th October 2016 Ben's dad, Terry Barlow, sadly passed away."

"Terry was always a huge Neck Deep supporter and took great pride in what Ben and the band had achieved. He was incredibly stoked that the "Fuck Neck Deep, mate, Ben's dad owns a record label" meme grew to be as popular as it was and would always find your tweets and show them to us."

"So in his memory, we are offering this charity t-shirt in which 100% of the profits will be donated to JDRF (https://jdrf.org.uk/) Type 1 Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and also the Paediatric Diabetes Team at Wrexham Maelor Hospital. We chose these particular foundations due to Ben's young nephew, Finlay, being diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in 2016."

"We hope to see you repping your TB shirt at a show sometime soon!"

"Terry Barlow Records Forever."

After the shirt sold out, Ben tweeted the below:

Neck Deep are currently touring the UK with A Day To Remember, New Found Glory and Moose Blood

Those dates are:

27 - LONDON Wembley Arena
28 - LEEDS First Direct Arena

Ben speaks about the band's plans for 2017 in the current issue of Rock Sound. Here's how you can get it:
